چکیده
Grass pea (Lathyrus sativus L.) is relatively tolerant to several abiotic stresses such as salinity. Twenty-five grass genotypes provided by the Dryland Agricultural Research Institute, Maragheh, Iran, were exposed four salinity levels (0, 40, 80, 120 mM). Based on primary screen, 8 and 17 sensitive selected. Principal components analysis for showed that first explained approximately 71-80% of variance. In PCA, coefficients associated with leaf that, in genotypes, length number increased but, width decreased. other words, stress makes leaves grow larger longer, but decreases angle becomes tighter. So, these traits may be used an index tolerance selection programs. Cluster based Ward?s algorithm Euclidean distance measure effectively separated genotypes. Cut off dendrogram located (except one genotype) same subgroup. This fact shows cluster efficiently divided and/or semi-tolerant Shoot dry weight had significant negative correlation pH, plumule plantlet length. Path revealed direct effects pod shoot weight. stepwise regression, two including entered into model. The results most positive effect weight, plant height highest indirect through About fruit fresh Several characteristics identified explain during path analysis. selections characters would more effective improving yield breeding programs pea.

Investigation of some Biochemical Traits of Tolerant and Sensitive Wheat Cultivars (Triticum Bioticum) under Salinity Stress
Salinity is one of the most important abiotic environmental stresses and is one of the most important factors in reducing the growth and yield of crops including wheat. Wheat is one of the most important crops in Iran and Wheat peloid levels are an important source of excellent genes, and it is highly desirable to study these species for use in breeding activities. Diploid wheat has 27 differen...

Seed yield and some physiological traits of safflower as affected by water deficit stress
Safflower (Carthamustinctorius L.) is an oilseed crop adapted to drought prone arid and semi-arid environments. This study was conducted to evaluate the effects of water deficit stress on antioxidant activity, membrane stability index (MSI), leaf chlorophyll content, leaf area index (LAI) and their relationship with seed yield using 64 safflower genotypes grown under normal and water defici...

متن کاملMetabolic responses to drought stress in the tissues of drought-tolerant and drought-sensitive wheat genotype seedlings
An in-depth understanding of the effects of drought stress on plant metabolism is necessary to improve the drought tolerance of wheat and to utilize genetic resources for the development of drought stress-tolerant wheat varieties. In this study, the profiles of 58 key metabolites produced by wheat seedlings in response to drought stress were investigated to determine various physiological proce...
